Acrylic Paintings
This is a sign that I painted for my cousin he wanted this sign to promote their Blue Faced Leicester sheep whilst taking them to shows. I used acrylic paints to paint this sign and I painted onto wood to ensure the sign would be sturdy enough to display beside their sheep pen.

I painted this Christmas card using acrylic paints and entered it in the Young Farmers Club County Rally 2011, it won 1st prize and was therefore used as the design for the county YFC Christmas card that year. I took the idea of a Collie from a Christmas card I had seen before I then gave the Collie a Santa hat and added a tree in the background, if you look closely at the tree you can see the letters YFC hidden within the branches.

In August 2011 Camelford Young Farmers Club decided to do an auction of promises in aid of The Sunrise Appeal. My promise was to paint a pet portrait for someone therefore the lady that bid the highest asked me to paint this portrait of her fathers Labrador dog. I used acrylic paints to paint this portrait I also decided to put the dog onto a black background to make him stand out more. I was very pleased with the final piece and I think she was too.

This was my final piece for my GCSE work at Sir James Smiths Community School, at the end of the year I achieved an A* in Art & Design which I was delighted with, I therefore decided that I would like to take the subject further so I applied to St.Austell College which is where I am currently studying an Art & Design National Diploma.

This is the collie dog that I painted for the YFC Christmas card before I added a hat and background. I decided to take a photo of it at this stage as i felt that it was quite a nice piece by itself,  also it is sometimes interesting to see how my work progresses.

I painted this tiger as part of my artist research work at GCSE the subject was 'Reflections'. I used acrylic Paints to paint this piece, I like working with acrylic as you can continue building up layers of paint until you reach the effect that you want.

I created this painting of a rose as part of my sketchbook work in college, I used acrylic paints to paint this.

This painting of a deer was also part of my sketchbook work in college.

I painted this horse using acrylic paints, I painted this as part of my coursework at GCSE.

Oil Paintings

I created this painting of two deer fighting using acrylic paints, this was part of my artist research for one of my college projects. I really enjoyed painting this as it shows lots of detail, I also enjoyed trying to create the impression of movement in this picture making the deer appear to look more alive. I decided to paint this picture in black and white to create more of a mood.

I painted Lady from 'Lady and the Tramp' using acrylic paints on wood. This was for Young Farmers as every year at The Royal Cornwall Show the Young Farmers have a tent in which each club in Cornwall creates a 'Cubicle' a mini scene this is the judged professionally. Last year the theme was 'Disney' and Camelford Young Farmers were given the theme 'Lady and the Tramp'.
